As the others said- the eus itself isn't too bad. (I'm one of the ones that does get a sore throat for a couple days afterward-it kinda feels like they rubbed a brillo pad at the back of your throat- and something cold and soft like a milkshake helps a lot!) One thing that i HAD wished someone warned me about the first time though is the taste of the stuff that they spray your throat with to numb it! The best way i can describe it is that it tastes like if you took a latex baloon, rubbed it on a banana peel, then licked it- (mmm...bitter-latexy-banana-flavor...uggh.) It's not soooo bad- just a really big surprise that first time! You may get a different spray out there, but i know that's the one they use here (in MN). Also- as the others said 'bout the results, they ususlly come back quickly- there was only one time that i've had to wait- that time it took a couple of weeks, but they sent it out to two separate pathology labs- one in another state.
