My husband just finished taxing Xeloda alone after Gemzar and Tarceva stopped working. We went to Duke for a second opinion and Dr. Bendell put Don on Xeloda there. . The side effects were miserable and in just two rounds of that he had lost a few lbs ; tumors were larger in size and there were more of them and a first nodule on the lung even. When he was diagnosed last year it was with a 3 cm. tumor in the head of the pancreas and mets to the liver. Of course every case is different but we're happily back with our oncologist, Dr. Anagnost, in Wilmington and tomorrow Don starts infusions of Gemzar and Taxotere. Fingers tightly crosssed. Best of luck to you!!
