Hello. I would like to thank everyone for their comments. All I was looking for was other people, patients or spouses, that had gone or were going through similar situations. I appreciate everything Lillie has told me and all of the information she has given me. My husband is being treated through the Carolinas Healthcare Organization in Charlotte, NC. I think the reason they waited on his chemo was because he was so sick and so weak. In January, it was just a few lesions and then they became tumors. His doctor has always done what was best for him and will keep him as comfortable as possible. He is not giving up. He started his family late in life. We have two 17 year old daughters and a 9 year old daughter. And yes, they are all his. He was 55 when the last one was born. That just proves that everything hasn't stopped working or at least then, LOL. You have to have some humor. Life is short and you have to make every day count. I truly appreciate all of the information that I am getting off of this board. I don't want anyone to criticize anyone else for giving the information that they have given. I asked for 'comments' and 'opinions' and that is what I got. I didn't ask for a medical diagnosis or a prescription for pain medication. Like I said, we are new to this cancer thing and are trying to learn as we go. It hit us all at once. When he went to the doctor on May 18th, he thought he had a kidney stone. He had already had over 100 in the past 40 years. The symptoms mimicked a kidney stone. Anyway, here we are. Once again, I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of your suggestions and comments. You are giving me information for questions that I will have for his doctor on Friday. He is getting a chemo treatment now. Please continue to pray for us. Thank you all so much. Take care and God bless.
