She had all the necessary preop tests (blood, ct scan, mri, etc) - He explained the whipple procedure. He said (don't quote me cause I'm a bit sketchy on this) that he couldn't proceed with the whipple because her artery was twisted in/around the pancreas and if he proceeded she might have bled to death. So he stopped and closed her up. After the surgery, first he told my cousin he couldn't proceed and told her "two good months." This was AFTER surgery and before the biopsy results. He told my aunt & uncle the same thing (immediately after telling her while she was in the recovery room). The proverbial "expert in his field" said he never saw anything like it before - he was sure it was pc- obviously the biopsy was more sure. Yes, she definitely needs a new dr - the question is who. At this point, who does she trust?
