Hi, How long can someone remain "stable" while on chemo? My uncle was diagnosed with pc in May, was supposed to have the whipple in July, ct scan showed mets to the lungs, biopsy confirmed that, has been on chemo for 7 weeks, and we are awaiting the ct scan results to see if the chemo has helped with shrinkage. His appetite is much better and his weight has stabalized. He initially lost over 40 pounds and continues to smoke heavily during this whole ordeal. I love him so much, he has no children and he treats my brother and I with all the love in the world. I too hate time frames, but have people stabalized on chemo even at stage 4? Wishing everyone all the luck in the world. Thanks in advance for your anticipated responses.
