Dr. Bruckner of Mount Sinai Hospital in New York published his study of 35 patients who were on radiotherapy (three cycles on days 1 to 5 and 8 to 12, concurrently with fluorouracil by continuous infusion for 4.5 days, streptozocin on days 1,2 and 3 and cisplatin on day 3 of each every 28 day cycle. Subsequent treatment consisted of leucovorin and FU every 14 days. These were stage II and III PC patients. The median survival time was 15 months and 26% patients were alive at 24 months.
