Well now. Stay calm. As an immediate measure. If your mom is not going to die like lets say today, why not speak with her drs. about getting a drainage stent put in. That will relieve her jaundice and remedy her itch (she should have a nasty itch if she is jaundiced). Life will be much better for her. She will be able to eat better. Talk to your boss. Mine was great which is surprising since we are lawyers :-). I ultimately decided to leave work because I am an only child and my mom is divorced. I am the only game in town. My husband has been god sent through this all. If your boss is not understanding, you are entitled to leave under the Family Leave Act. They will have to keep your position open for 6 months. Granted this will be without pay but you may be eligible for unemployment. Just some thoughts and options. Good luck to you all. Jen
