I read the book 'Final Gifts' right after my mother was diagnosed in Sept. (when things were looking very bad for her). As the others said, it is very good and even though I cried through every page, I found it very comforting.
I hope she is taking enough pain medication to keep herself comfortable. When my mother was diagnosed, she was against taking morphine because she felt that that meant she was at the end (dying). Once she started and her pain was controlled, she regained hope, started chemo, and now her tumor has shrunk to 1/2 the size and she is fighting w/ all of her might.
When was your sister diagnosed? Has she gone through any treatment at all?
