Dear What,

I have several symptoms, including hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia ( they know I am not a diabetic), pain in my middle abdomen and back, white stool, abnormal lipase levels (high), low white cell count, low ferritin, low B12, low D vitamin. Now some of these things, like ferritin and the other vitamins are because I had Gastric Bypass Surgery. I expect these things to happen, but the others, like the low white cell count is not because of my surgery. There is a condition called 'Dumping Symdrom' after you have had surgery, but they have come to the conclusion that it is not what I am suffering from. That is caused when you eat simple carbohydrates, and I cannot tolerate them. I have taken in Food and Glucose logs to all my doctors, I have been to Premiere facilities in California and the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. Unfortunately I have medicaid insurance. I have not worked in almost 3 years. This insurance makes it very hard, but none the less the doctors treat me horribly. I had one doctor tell me and I quote, ' You have chronic condition, go home and live what ever life you have left'. I have two children 7 and 5, I cannot accept that. I am not rich, but they treat you like your worth nothing. I have contacted PANCAN, but the doctors they referred me to have a protocol that they follow, which requires my doctors to do certain things to get me an appt. with one of them. So far they are not willing to do it. I am really at my breaking point. I see a counselor, but she tells me well, you need to get out, go to the park. You would not imagine how much this frustrates me. My sugars drop on a daily basis, all day. I eat they go high then drop, I don't eat they still drop. I have had some test done last year. Some of the doctors won't release my records from California to my current doctors. This all seems very crazy to me. I don't know what to do. I know there is something wrong, and I don't want to find out and then be told it's to late. I'm just running out of steam and options. Mary
