Adenocarcinoma, the most common type of cancer, is the most lethal. No variety of pancreatic cancer is good, but, in general, when people on TV commercials are long term pancreatic cancer survivors, their type of pancreatic cancer turns out to be a more rare kind. I've lost friends here who had islet cell, and every single other rare PC can be lethal, but the statistics are much better for the rare PCs. Without knowing anything about the woman named, I am guessing she did not have your common adenocarcinoma. Claudia
