When my dad was diagnosed with cholangiosarcoma at Mayo Clinic Rochester, he
was told the most common places for metastasis were the brain and the lungs.
I would think that is why they are monitoring his lungs, to make sure the
cells are not lurking in his body and growing elsewhere.
I hope your husband continues to do as well as it sounds like he is doing.
