I too had shoulder pain theat I am sure was from sleeping with my arm over my head...a habit I got into after surgery.I ended up with a rotator cuff tear as well that ended up developing into frozen shoulder which takes physio and about a year to heal.Funny, I think I have a tear in the other shoulder now. But also, I remember going to the ER before my surgery with a terrible pain in shoulder area where it really hurt to even take a breath. They called it referred pain form pancreas inflammation. I very much believe shoulder issues are associated with this whole disease though I don't think a lot of Docs link the two. I also heard shoulder issues are linked to Diabetes as well.
