I agree with the other posters that there can be a great benefit to taking something that YOU believe is helping. Whether it has an actual physical effect or not - it is an indisputable fact that psychologically the benefits for the patient can be huge. This could also be applied to other complementary things mentioned on this board including glyconutrients, some special mushrooms, fish oils etc. Some may work - some may not, but as long as the person taking them believes that they do - they will to some effect!

I suggest you type 'essiac' into the search feature on the top right of this board to read previous posts about this tea.
