Hi Kim..

My God..Do you know they call the 'Whippel' the 'GrandDaddy of them all' It is one of the most invasive.. dibilitating.. butt kicking.. complicated surgeries going. It's only been a little over a month?

I was 175lb..and went down to 129lb.I couldn't lift a log for I don't know how long. I think it was after 3 months I went down to get the mail and didn't have the strength to get back up by myself. Thank God my son looked out the window and came down and helped me. It's a slow recovery. Weight lose is a given. Weight gain is a battle. I'm some where in the mid to high 140's. Be patient. His body is still recovery from the shock of the surgery. His digestive system hasn't even started to get back to normal. The strength will return..but not like before. Once he's able to eat more solid food it should help..but it is 'Important 'that he at least walks around the living room. That's what I was doing 5 yrs ago..and I was wasn't powerwalking..I was shuffling. You take care and good luck to you. Ray..
