glycerine is a very minor player here. it is attached to long chain fatty acids that are very energetic. fatty acids can only be metabolized aerobically. so they are used more by normal cells than in the realtively anerobic tumor millieu. this is true of any fat, but omega 3s and fish oils confer additional benefits on the immune system.
