Ruth receives 5FU intravenously for 3 days in the hosp. She ADORES her Onc. and would never consider consulting someone else. She did in the early stages (the head of Moffitt Cancer Center here in Tampa) and did not like his attitude at all, so she went back to her original Onc. Ruth is 79, has a bad heart condition, only 1 kidney, poor veins, and glaucoma......but she insists on taking any treatment that she BELIEVES will cure her cancer. Her Dr. has NEVER told her that pancreatic cancer is incurable. All I see is a once very vital woman going downhill, not so much from the cancer as from the chemo. CAROL
