My Dad also had the insect thing. It was when he was in the hospital. I
reassured him the bug spray would kill them all. That seem to make him less
anxious. This has to be a difficult time for you. Check if you can hire a
nurse (CNA) for a couple of evenings. I don't know if you have any other
family or friends willing to come and spend the night with your Dad.
Maybe your Dad needs to resolve the relationship issues before he can pass
away. Ask him if you don't know what they are and get them taken care of as
soon as possible so he can have peace of mind. Good luck with going back to
school at this difficult time. Good for you for reading your book to him. A
real snoozer, I'm sure, but at least your Dad is getting some sleep from it.
Take care of you, too. Do check and see if any other family or friends can
help out. Both you and your Mom need to get some rest, too. We did hire a
nurse to come in one day so I could get away. We have a big family and set
up a schedule for everyone to help out during the nights. They all felt it
was their special time. I was able to get some rest at night. Take
