At this time, focus on the immediate needs of your Dad and his comfort. Any chance he may want Home Health to come in instead of Hospice? Maybe your Dad would be more comfortable with a male nurse. They do help with things and a social worker or minister can help with any issues he may not want to discuss with the family. Sometimes it helps talking to someone else. Facing your own death and dealing with all the emotions involved must be difficult for him. Maybe a minister or social worker can offer an insight from what they learned from others. Just an option if you feel you need some help down the line.

You sound like you are doing well during a challenging time. You are strong and an amazing daughter. Please keep us updated and also take care of you, too. Give Mom a hug from us as well. Hugs......Mary
