Hi Jacqui,

Hi there,

What doseage of the Gemzar is your Mum on? did they give her the antinausea med before the chemo infusion?

I'll give you an exzmple. The sheet for Raul to start his treatment tomarrow is written out as Gemzar 600m2 over a 30 min. infusion rate. Anzimet for nausea is given before the treatment.

This is less the amount than he had before. What about your Mum? Same doseage, anything different?

She needs lots of water to flush out the toxins for the kidneys to work well.

Raul takes ativan for anxiety. Nothing for the depression. He took a bit of the Zoloft before he was diagnosed, and it only made him tired so he threw them in the trash can.

As for the nausea, sometimes Oil of Wintergreen on a tissue for a patient to smell will take away the nausea. Cammomille tea settles the stomach as well.

I hope this helped some.
