I agree about the need for a second opinion - -and you need to move FAST. Contact PanCAN right away. PanCAN is the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and they have tons of help and support for you. PanCAN: http://www.pancan.org, 1-877-272-6226 (9-5, Pacific Time).
1) First, ask to speak to a PALS Associate -- Patient and Liaison Services. They are available 9-5 Pacific Time. They can send you some helpful literature about pancreatic cancer (PC). They can talk to you about possible clinical trials. They have lists of oncologists who have significant experience with PC, and can help you find a good doc for a second opinion.
2) If you want some additional support, ask for information about the Survivor and Caregiver Network. This network is volunteers who work with patients and caregivers, usually by phone or email -- sort of a buddy system, and your buddy is someone who has had experience with PC.
And feel free to bring your questions here!
