The doc's in Denver told my dad the same thing. He did have a whipple, but said chemo and radiation didn't work and were a waste of time. I talked them into going for a second opinion where people know what they're talking about with PC and they went to Houston to MD Anderson Medical Center. Dad had his first consult with the local oncologist yesterday. The docs in Houston were very much in favor of the chemo treatment. And he starts next week. Get a second opinion from a doctor/oncologist who specializes in PC. And read the bio's here. There are people who were given months to live and are still going strong many months later. It gives you hope.

Good luck to you and your dad and don't just accept things. It may be that your dad's condition won't respond to chemo, but see an experience oncologist to find out.
