It's a tough one. My mom decided to go for it, post-whipple, and she did the radiation with 5FU. Now she's doing Gemzar. The Radiation Oncologist convinced her it would give her the best possible chance. I suppose every case is different and nobody knows for sure what the best decision is. My mom's pathology, for what it's worth, was clear margins and no positive lymph nodes. She has no known mets. She felt like she might regret NOT doing it if she had a recurrence later on in the tumor bed.

That's about all I know to tell you. Maybe shooting for no regrets and hearing out the oncologists thoughts on it is the best thing to do, take a leap of faith and don't look back.
