Roy, after approx 6 weeks of back pain, was diagonsed with pc
05/07/1999...gemzar was used for 12 weeks..unfortunately, the chemo failed.
roy has now opted to try 5fu..weight loss so far has been approx 50 lbs..when
latest ct scan was done, it showed the tumor had grown, and also has mets to
the lymph nodes in the stomach area..roy is now being injected, by cadd pump,
doses of morphine to keep the pain under control..he has also had some
swelling to the ankles, feet..we have lived our lives 'one day at a time',
and find this attitude has helped our outlook and ability to survive the
horrendous battle with this dreadful disease.roy's mother died 30 years ago
of this same disease..NOTHING has been done since her prognosis..hard to
believe this is the 4th cause of cancer deaths and we still have not found a
way of detecting this type of cancer before its too late..i hope, pray a way
will be found to locate/cure this dreadful disease.. roy is 64 years of age,
we have been married 41 years..have 2 wonderful sons, and 4 beautiful
