PANCREAS CANCER
I am a 70 year old male and was diagnosised with pc on May 22,1998. After
having a stint put in to releive the juandise I had the wipple performed at
Johns Hopkins Hospital on June 5, 1998 by Dr. Cameron. After 12days in the
hospital I went home but was not able to keep food down. I return to the
hospital and was diagnosised with bowel blockage. Returned home on June 30th.
I had 20 radiation treatments and 18 chemo. Did great till February when I
developed a compression fracture in my lower back. In May they found some
spots on my lungs. I am now taking gemzar treatment. I am feeling pretty good
other then I am tired a lot and my blood counts go up and down. My scans show
that nothing is growing and that is good.I live a pretty full life and enjoy
my family. I feel that my life is in the hands of God and what ever he wants
will be. I believe and trust that God will see me through this. I have had
wonderful care by the doctors and my family. I am just very gratful to the
doctors who diagnosised me so early
