Thank you for the info. He's going to see the pain Dr this morning. My
husband is 58 yrs old. He will be 59 june 17th. Since my daughter is allergic
to compazine he will not take it. He is now on Metadone, Elavil, Phenergan,
Kytril, Roxanol, Humalog & Lantus. His tumor is inoperable. If I didn't have
my faith and trust in the lord I wouldn,t be able to make it one more day.
The same is true with Dennis. He's been to the healing rooms. Has been
baptized. But can't let go of the anger. I never leave him (not allowed)
always has been that way. He has been Disabled since 1999 due to an injury at
work. He will be having a CA19-9 draw on the 8th along with another CAT scan.
My own Dr has put me on nitro, wellbutin, celexa & klonopin. Some days are
harder than others. I also have a daughter that will be giving birth to a
baby girl any day with a two vessel cord. Which means the baby could have a
heart defect. The baby is due on her Dads birthday. I don't mean to complain
or sound mean or hard. But I fell this will be a place were someone will
understand me. I love my Husband very much he has been my life since I have
been 19. I'm now 50. I have watched my husband go from being a big STRONG MAN
to being dependent on me. It's very hard for him to ask for help. Maybe thats
why he gets so angry. Seems to have good days and then very real bad days.
Very forgetful. I have had to take the car keys away from him. With all the
meds hes on I'm afraid for him to drive. His father died at the age of 49
with Cancer (colon?) could of been PC He died in 1970. Opened him up and
closed that fast died within 5 wks. The waiting game is Hard. My daugther
actually sent her dad to the Dr to get his pancreas checked. She does Ultra
sounds for a living in a Hospital. Only organ that you can't see is the
Pancreas. Dr. Reber at UCLA told us it was inoperable. Tumor lying on large
vessel. His blood counts stayed within normal range all through treatment.
Only thing that was very low was Potassium. Has had to be hydrated numerous
times. Takes 3 potassiums aday. Drinks Gaterade which does't help with Blood
sugars! Blood Pressure goes up and down 175/101 sitting to 84/60 standing.
Blood sugar hoovers around 298. Trying to learn all I can to help him through
this awful time. Thanks for the Prayers and listening
