hello everyone, my mom was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago with pancreatic cancer, she underwent a greuling procedure, "the whipple" im sure many of you are aware of it. the problem is i live in Maryland and she lives in Arizona, and her surgeon is impossible to talk with, my sister is with her during her recovery and will be bringing her home for further treatment. Im feeling very frustrated her Dr tells us her pathology report is good because cancer has not spread to any lymph or organs, however cells still present in the pancreas.... can anyone tell me if this is good news or just false hope, and if anyone here knowing someone who had the "whipple procedure" done did it change their quality of life?, thanx so much for any information anyone can offer
