5FU was the original standard of treatment for PC. Can be administered through a pump- in combination with rradiation therapy or iv.

Xeloda is a pill form.

Difference is believe it but Xeloda is not approved by the FDA for treatment of PC. Therefore some insurance companies pay- and some do not.

Side effects of Xeloda- Mouth sores (there is a mouthwash that can be made), feet and hand sores, rashes, etc.

Xeloda is the 'X' in the GTX combo therapy.
