Hi there,

unfortunately abdominal fluid built-up is the first sign that the liver seizes to function properly. Make sure when the fluid is drained the doctor will check the electrolytes. With the fluid the body looses also all important minerals, vitamins etc. All these have to be replaced otherwise it can complicate things. Also check the ammonia level.

I wish you lots of luck and many more good days, Lis
