My husband was diagnosed 6/05, with stage 4, unoperatable etc. He started chemo with gemzar and xeloda, had horrible reactions, dropped the xeloda, but also dealt with the blood issues, itching weight loss and on and on and on. He passed 12/05 but not before we made several trips to our second home in Wy, visited our west coast children twice, saw two of his grandchildren graduate and spoke personally to every single person that had made a difference in his life. Quality of life? Yes, certainly, but everyone is different and treats the process differently.
