I KNOW THIS SOUNDS VERY NEGATIVE, BUT MY MOTHER (DIAGNOSED WITH INOPERABLE PANCREATIC CANCER 11/29/05) HAS HAD 3 GEMZAR TMNTS AND IS SO WEAK THAT WE ARE WONDERING IF SHE SHOULD CONTINUE TMNTS. BLOOD CLOT IN ONE LEG. HER LEGS ARE SO HEAVY, SWOLLEN, RED, VERY SORE TO THE TOUCH. ONCOLOGIST SAYS THAT SHE HAS TO HAVE 3 MORE TMNTS BEFORE SHE CAN SCAN. IS THIS TRUE TO YOUR EXPERIENCES? WE ALL CERTAINLY WANT TO DO EVERYTHING TO KEEP HER BUT KEEP REMEMBERING THE SURGEON'S WORDS THE DAY OF SURGERY TO CONFIRM CANCER. HE SAID SOMETHING TO THE EFFECT OF: 'THERE'S NOONE ON THIS EARTH WHO CAN HELP HER.'

I WELCOME ANY COMMENTS OR ADVICE.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
