I wanted to say how great it is that your wife was able to have a liver
resection. YOu are one of the lucky few!! Usually things have progressed way
to far. Such was the case with my father. His was wrapped around
arteries/veins. He had chemo in 2004 and has had radiation twice. He isn't
the same as before he was sick, but life is still pretty good.
I hope you find a great oncologist. What part of the country are you in? I
referred another person on this board to my dad's oncologist and she went to
see him today. He is about to start a clinical trial/study. They are the best
I hear for cutting edge chemo. He told me yesterday there were a lot of new
drugs out there even since my dad was treated.
