My father-in-law was diagnosed in September with stage IV cancer of the pancreas with mets to the liver. He has just went through his fourth Gemzar treatment with Tarceva. He recently got a blood clot in his leg. Is this common? Can the blood clot travel? He is also getting a blood transfusion tonight. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on blood clots. Thank you!
