My mother-in-law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer Nov98. Had the whipple done. It took her 5 weeks to get out of the hospital! She has never gotten "better", actually progressively worse. Within the last 3 weeks she has lost 25 lbs, and I'm afraid that this won't last much longer. My problem is that my husband and his father don't talk about anything except when "she gets better". I feel we need to check out hospice, but want to make sure I'm on the right track. Any suggestions?
