My Dad(age 61) has been having complications from the day he was diagnosed(and before). Therefore, his chemo has been delayed(He was diagnosed 4 weeks ago). Recently he had a blood clot in his lung. He was put on heparin to dissolve this clot but they are telling us he has a blood clot somewhere else(tumor area) that cannot be dissolved, is inoperable, and will forever present a risk of the clot moving to a vital area. I can't believe there is nothing they can do. They did put in a thing(like a screen to catch the clots) but say it may not help. Has anyone had or heard of this complication? They have not given my dad a glimmer of hope since diagnosis and this is a terrible setback for him. I want them to start treatment! Any info would be appreciated.
