So sorry to hear about your mother but it is great that you insisted on following your instinct. She should be proud of you. Sorry it messed up the holidays for you both. I know from experience that things always wait until holidays to happen when the doctors aren't around. My husband first got jaundiced at a bank holiday - Easter probably.
With a last stent in August it was due to get blocked by now. I can't believe that they don't know that.
Yes unfortunately it does come down to money. However as your mother was going to have a surgical reassessment that may also have led them to use a plastic stent last time.
What was the reason for not being able to put in a metal stent this week?
