Jason is having a permanent stent placed tomorrow at 8 a.m.and at the same time have his bowels check for possible perforation. I sure hope this is the right decision and they don't find anything more wrong. (Just today Jason had a consult with a 2nd(3rd or 4th really) with an oncologist at Stanford. The Stanford Dr. said his treatment plans past & present are what he would recommend but suggested he would wait to have a stent because sometimes Xeloda causes an increase in Biliruben. However, Jason wants to go ahead - because he hopes the Dr. will find out / fix what might be causing the severe cramping he is experiencing.) So all of your thoughts for successful procedure are needed to be sent to California and greatly appreciated!! The next step will be to go back to the oncologist - ask for enzymes - ask to restart chemo and then go back to Pain Management to get better pain control. So for this week, things keep moving forward and we keep hope alive that the current chemo will do some good. Darlene
