BERNICE

My mom was diagnosed with p.c. in may of 1999 and she died the day after mother's day 2000. She was 62. The mother of 7. She, like many other people that I read about had upper back pain. She went to her doctor and then to the hospital for testing, and it was confirmed that she had p.c. She did everything that she could do to get better (whipple, chemo. radiation).

She was a great mom. She loved her kids, loved to fuss over the house. She was very caring. I think about her every day, and it has been five years. She always said that there is a time to be born and a time to die...I guess it was her time. It doesn't make it easier for us.

Sorry for the not so uplifting words.
