I am fairly new to this board, but one thing I have figured out about this type of cancer is that nothing can be put off. This is a fast and aggressive cancer.

When my Mom was diagnosed in August 04, I knew nothing. I started researching and do to this day. We saw one surgeon that basically told her she was a goner and was not a candidate for the whipple. So I made Mom go to another surgeon, and he performed the whipple in Oct 04. I didn't stop with one opinion, and I still don't.

You will need to absorb all that has happened and in a day or two you will be ready to fight. My email is open to all, anything I can do to help, I will.

Stay Strong, Pam
