Hi Chuck, I am being treated at Kings College LONDON, and have just had my STENT replaced twice over the last 2 weeks. The key issue appears to be that they can slip out of place, become blocked, but also they then trigger an infection CHOLANGITIS which causes the fever. My Surgeon here at Kings is a LIVER Specialist since GBC, the Biliary Tract, are very closely associated with the liver, and invariably GBC has grown into the liver.

Cholangitis frequently needs to be treated with Intravenous anti-biotics which I am on at the moment. Good luck with this - I see you already have plenty of sound advice. I also had the same problem as to 'who is in charge' oncologist or surgeon, but I have sorted that by coming to Kings. Tony
