He went to see a gastroenderoligist guy and an oncoligist. They did not think he needed a whipple type surgery because it was wrong area. tail part is problem. I think wipple is forr head part where everything comes together, something like that. Dad has a friend who had liver cancer, and stomach cancer, they gave him chemotherapi and my dad did not want to go through that. The surgery is supposed to stop the pain, but he really does not have much pain. He drinks about 15 cups of coffee per day with no milk or sugar. He really does not eat too much sweets except his coffee cake, he eats an entemanns square of coffee cake in 2 days sometimes. He does not like chocolate. He eats vegatables, mom usually boils them. He also likes chicken more than steak, 3 times a week. He like chicken fingers to eat while he works. I will call his doctor to see if the surgery will cause more pain or reduce the pain, it really is not painful, so he feels it is not important to go through the surgery. What is so important about it being in th eliver if it does not hurt. I tried to get into the questions section above but it refused to connect me, is there a password I need? If it is aggresive, how is that meant, by speed , pain or time frame, as there is not much pain, maybe it is a mild case? Mom seems more upset than dad, will it cripple him like a nerve disease, i cannot see where it would kill him because he gets around like nothing bothers him. i asked the doctor about antibiotics for it, the doctor shook his head and would not discuss it. I was told to buy a book written by Mortor, I want to go this weekend, is there a better book to get on this. I really do not know anything about it, it is all new to us. I restore classic cars and buy and sell them, so, this is out of my background. i realy appreciate the comments and help. i feel real stupid as I need to know more about this I guess. I read some of the other posts and get confused because he was not given gemzar or anything with a number as part of their name. I think he is not as serious as some of the other ones I read, maybe he will be lucky and not spread further, what are the chances of that? Thank you, Micky
