My faher was diagnosed also Jan98. I would like to hear more about yourexperience with this and how you are doing at this time. He went into surgery with the possibility of the whipple but it was not possible. He later had a bypass when the tumor blocked his stomach. He did ok for a while. He has been on gemzar for 8 months now with good results but now is having stomach problems again. No chemo this week and the dr wants to do another cat scan. We are glad so we can possibly get some answers on how the tumor is progressing. We feel very fortunate that he has done so well with this when the drs told us probably 6 to 9 months was all we had. I appreciate you thoughts and wish you well. PaulaM.
