I just want to say that this has to be one of the saddest days on this chat line I have ever, ever seen. There seems to be a flurry of sad things happening today and my heart is so heavy for everyone. I know my time will come when I will be in such a position with my family member because as we know pc does not usually have any miracle ending. I just wanted to let all of you know (Carole, Dawn, SDennis, Cindy and others) who poured out their heart in helpless grief today that I am so, so sorry for you and your loved one. This disease is so horrible. Has anyone looked up the awareness site and seen how LITTLE is spent on PC research? It is the lowest of all, I think only $8 million which is about $300 per person compared to Breast Cancer at $400 million or AIDS at over a billion!! That is horrendous. It's one of the few with no early detection, no real cure, the most painful...I mean come on, it is a disease straight out of hell and I hate it. If I had Michael Jordan's or someone like that's billions, I would donate it to pc. Of course, that won't happen unless that person has a family member stricken with it. And of course, it's not as fashionable as having breast cancer (not to minimize its deadly power). I just hope I get a windfall of money because I PROMISE to donate to PC research!!! I hate the F------ disease more than anything I know.
