Mom's tumor is right up against the capsule, right lobe of liver. It is bothering her more and more. RFA is going to be done, if allowed with her current health, at St. Peter's hospital in Albany NY. They are still new at this, but the doc has had 12/12 successes in the past 6 months. We/ Mom and Dad don't want to travel far from home in case the worst happens, she will be here. It's a hard choice to make choosing a place, but this radiologist seems very very competent. He has done other procedures on Mom Nov 03. He is 36 years old and was trained at Columbia in NY in the RFA. Good luck to you. I really and truly wish I could have talked them into doing this over a year ago. I think it was not very widespread yet, and docs were still learning about the possible benefits vs the possible difficulties. I hope you and my mom are able to benefit big time from it!!!!! Corina
