Thank you for your concern, my husband has been fighting inoperable pc for almost 2yrs now. He is considered stable no mets to the liver or lungs. His last course of treatment has been Xeloda which he has been on for the last 7 months. The doctor feels as long as he stays this way they will not go on to other treatments, such as gemzar with cisplatin or oxiplatin. The biggest issue is his weight, and since he is insulin depend it makes it very difficult. His issue now is with his stomach and the absorption of food. He just started Zelnorm and see if that works if not he will need surgery. By all standards Ira has out lived his prognosis, and everyday is a gift. The sad part is that the man that I have loved for the last 37yrs is slowly fading away and there is nothing I can do to help him, a day never goes by that I don't let him know how I love him and when the time comes to be reassured I will be fine. It is a nightmare you want to wake up from, but know you can't, you feel so helpless and wish you can give something from you to him, but you know that is not possible.
