The doctors give Ritialin to stimulate energy. (ADHD kids get it to stimulate a part of their brain to increase the ability to focus and it seriously depresses their appetites). But our onc will give it only in the last resort because it SUPRESSES appetite, not stimulate it. The patient needs to be on both a stimulant for appetite especially if they are going to placed on a Ritalin or other stimulant medication.

The nurse that told you this is definitely not a Mom of a hyperactive kid, but I do question where she read her information from!
