I have a friend who was sick for 2 years wuth nausea and vomiting episodes and gradual weight loss. They kept telling him it was a motitility problem with is intestines. He even had is gallbladder removed. Finally his wife took him to MAYO and they diagnosed him in 2-3 days. She also had the doctors there and at MD ANDERSON look at his ct scan from 2 years ago and they said the head of the pancreas was enlarged at that time. The doctors reading the ct scan originally just did not see it. He has islet cell pncreatic cancer (neuroendocrine ) it is relativey slow growing although his tumor is now spreading rapidily. He also did not have an elevated cea, (I do not know about a ca19)but I suspect if it was done it was not elevated.Get help now. Surgery is possible if done early. Also look into culturing his tumor cells to see what medication works on them. This is controversial but worth trying. You will have to fight for this and get the right doctors to help you. Call the MAYO CLINIC ask for Dr. BIBLE.
