Yesterday Hospice came to get things set up for Gram. They spent many hours and were very professional and thorough. The subject matter was of course, very difficult for Gram to process. She is completely competent to make her own choices, and so of course she needed all this information about resources, etc. Today Gram could not walk across the floor, and then for the first time in all her adult years, was not able to make coffee for herself. She didn't have the strength to open the cupboard or pick up a cup. She nearly crawled to the couch, not wanting help. Then she cried all day. She even cried in her sleep. I know this is one of the parts of being terminally ill, and she must journey through it..but of course its terribly hard to watch. We are doing our best to comfort her. This board is a comfort to me, and I thank you.
