My mother has PC. I keep hearing and reading that pain, such as cancer pain, can be controlled in this day and age. Is this really not true? I suspect that it isn't, and it bothers me greatly to hear the "fact" that pain can be controlled used in arg uments against euthanasia. Of course, there are discomforts other than pain, too, which cannot be alleviated.
