Sorry to hear that your dad's been struggling with the recovery. Unfortunately, how quickly you recover from the Whipple is very individualistic. Alot can depend on age, general health, post whipple complications, attitude, etc.

A thing that you may need to be aware of is depression in PC patients. Make sure that his doctors/caregivers are looking out for his mental health as well. We know that the miind can have a very powerful effect on how the body recovers.

He's been through a lot with the surgery and hopefully his recovery will progress faster.
