Hi All -

It has been some time since I posted an update on Andrew. As many of you know, he was born mid-April, three months premature, a month before BDC took my wife, Gale. He has had some major struggles but he is now doing well. He is three weeks past his original due date, he is 8 1/2 lbs, is breathing on his own with supplemental oxygen through nasal cannulars, and he is still being fed through an NG tube as they are afraid that he may asperate his feeds if taken orally.

He is doing so well, in fact, that this week the hospital said he could come home with some nursing support if I wanted. After much thought, consideration and prayer, I have decided to move him to a home-like facility near my home that specializes in children with on-going medical needs; while I wanted to bring him all the way home, with ten other children I think it best for all if he is close to home but still under 24/7 nursing care for the next 6 weeks or so yet. But he will now be an hour closer than he was!!!!

Thank you again for your continued well-wishes and prayers on the little guy's behalf. He is beating the odds - my wife's last legacy!
